S'mores Fudge Bars

S'mores are commonly a summer dessert, but in my opinion, it's way too hot to sit around a campfire to roast marshmallows in the summer. So, I have created a recipe that is reminiscent of s'mores but can be made indoors in the A/C! Honestly, I think these s'mores bars taste way better than regular s'mores anyway.

This recipe uses lots of ingredients that you probably already have, and you can definitely make substitutions. For example, you could use any flavor of graham cracker or even replace those with some other type of cookie. You can also use any type of chocolate chips to fit your preferences or what you have in the pantry! Just be careful to keep the ratios the same, otherwise it may not set up correctly. I hope you give this recipe a try because it was super simple to make and incredibly delicious!

S'mores Bars Recipe

Serves 9

Ingredients:

- 3oz graham crackers or Teddy Grahams

- 2 tbsp butter, melted

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

- 2 tsp brown sugar

- pinch of salt

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips

- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

- 1 cup mini marshmallows

Steps:

1. Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs.

2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.

3. Add this mixture to a square 7x7 ceramic dish and press down. *Make sure it is ceramic! A

glass dish will shatter in a later step when you use the broiler!

4. Refrigerate this layer until set, about 1-2 hours.

5. Melt chocolate chips and condensed milk in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring

each time.

6. Spread chocolate mixture over the set graham cracker crust.

7. Top with the marshmallows and press them into the chocolate, being sure to spread them

out into one layer.

8. Refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes until just barely set.

9. Set oven to broil and allow to heat up for about 5 minutes.

10. Place the ceramic dish on a metal cookie sheet and broil the bars for about 1-2 minutes,

keeping the oven cracked open slightly and watching carefully.

11. Remove once the marshmallows are toasted to your liking.

12. Let it cool at room temperature for about an hour, then refrigerate overnight to allow it to

fully set up.

13. Cut into 9 squares once cooled.

*Tip: Line the tray with foil or parchment paper for easier removal of the bars.
