Mini Mint Chocolate Pie

Since I was little, I have loved mint Oreos and it's become a tradition that I have some every summer. This time, I decided I wanted to create a recipe using them, and what better recipe than a mini chocolate pie! Oreo crust is arguably one of the best things ever, so I knew that had to be the way to go.

This pie is delicious and super minty, but if you aren't a mint fan, no worries! This recipe can easily be customized to any flavor of Oreos that you like! Some that come to mind would be peanut butter, golden, or even just regular Oreos, but feel free to experiment with all different kinds! I'd love to see your creativity with this, so be sure to show me if you make any fun replications of this! Hope you enjoy it!

Mint Chocolate Pie Recipe

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

- 6 mint Oreos

- 1.5 ounces dark chocolate

- 1 tsp heavy cream

- 1 tbsp butter, melted (plus a bit for greasing)

Steps:

1. Grease a small skillet or pan with some butter.

2. Remove the cream from the Oreos and set aside in a bowl.

3. In a plastic bag or food processor, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs.

4. Combine the crumbs with the melted butter.

5. Place the crumb mixture into the pan and press against the sides and bottom.

6. Refrigerate this crust while working on the filling.

7. In a bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave 30 second intervals, stirring in between.

8. Once it is almost completely melted, add the cream from the Oreos.

9. Microwave for another 5-10 seconds, then stir to fully combine.

10. Slowly add the heavy cream to the mixture and stir to combine.

11. Remove the crust from the fridge and fill it with the melted chocolate mixture.

12. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely set.

*Tip: If you want the filling to be more of a creamy rather than a hard filling, add more heavy cream to the chocolate.

That looks delicious. Do you think it would make it more mousse-like if you whipped the cream first then fold the chocolate mixture in?
